T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plans seem to have a good option for most users out there, but not everyone needs all the benefits these alternatives provide. T-Mobile created the Simple Starter plans for single line users who need something cheaper and with less commitment.
T-Mobile says that, starting Sept. 3, customers can quadruple the Simple Starter data allotment for $5. Since the base plan includes 500MB of LTE data, that means that subscribers can get unlimited talk and text with 2GB of LTE data for $45 per month.
The new 2GB data offer is a limited-time promotion, according to the company, and it follows another limited-time data promotion that was unveiled last week, when T-Mobile offered free unlimited mobile data for one year to any Simple Choice customer who gets a friend or relative to move his or her service from Sprint, AT&T or Verizon Wireless. That offer came just two weeks after a long-rumored T-Mobile merger with Sprint was called off
Simple Choice users also tend to get dibs on T-Mobile’s best offers, including free international 2G data and unlimited music streaming. In short: these Simple Starter plans would be a great option for users who don’t need all the bells and whistles of T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plans.
