According to T-Mobile senior product manager Des Smith, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the LG V10 will be pushed out beginning next week, which is a few weeks after Verizon launched the said update for the smartphone.
There was no specific date given for the rollout, but we’ll be keeping an eye out. What’s odd is T-Mobile’s dedicated Software Updates page hasn’t even been updated, still showing the first phase of “Manufacturer development” for the V10 (it should already be at “T-Mobile testing”), but I digress…
The V10 was released in October, and since then, owners have had to endure Lollipop. With the update to Android 6.0+, users will benefit from comprehensive app permissions, Google’s Now on Tap, Doze for improved battery life, more control over notifications, as well as plenty of bug fixes.
While the LG V10 remains a very capable smartphone, the spotlight on LG devices has been shifted to the LG G5. The smartphone, which only started to recently ship out to customers, is available on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular.
